Teacher Science and Mathematics

Braemar College is an independent, co-educational, ecumenical school for students in Years 5 to 12. The College has two campuses, both of which are located near Woodend, less than an hour from Melbourne's CBD.

The position teaches in the Middle Years, 5 to 8.

This position is part-time and fixed term for Semester 1, 2026. 

The position is vacant due to the leave of the incumbent.

About You:

The College seeks an outstanding teacher who is knowledgeable and passionate about the Science and Mathematics curriculum and current pedagogical thinking. It is expected that you will:

• Have an enthusiastic approach to the education of young people including a focus on developing skills and underpinning knowledge.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with staff, delivering Science and Mathematics programs across the school.
• Show a willingness and the capacity to contribute to the wellbeing of students.
•  Be open to the possibilities of teaching in flexible learning spaces.
• Display innovation in curriculum and collaborative learning approaches
• Have a tertiary teaching qualification that enables you to teach Science and Mathematics.
• Display an individual learning disposition that strives for continual improvement.
• Be a current VIT registered teacher.
